Your Forum retreat should be the one they talk about all year

When it's your turn to plan the retreat you want something awesome, and you don't want to deal with all the details. I design and facilitate Forum experiences that go deeper, feel more alive, and leave members genuinely changed โ€” whether it's your group's first retreat or your twenty-first.

Planning a meaningful Forum retreat is a lot of work

When the retreat-planning rotation lands on you, the pressure is real. You want something better than last year โ€” deeper conversations, more genuine connection, and moments nobody forgets. But you're running a company, not a travel agency.

"I dreaded the day it was my turn to plan this."

"Last year felt more like a nice vacation than a real breakthrough."

"I don't know how to create the deeper conversations our group is ready for."

"We've been meeting for years and still feel like we're scratching the surface."

Not just logistics. Not just facilitation. Both โ€” and everything in between.

What makes this different is hard to find in one place: someone who can select the destination, manage every detail, guide the adventure, and facilitate the depth โ€” all as one person who genuinely loves doing it. You show up with every detail handled. We do the important work together. You play, connect, and elevate.

Destination & setting design
The environment does the work
Destination selection, venue, logistics, and sensory design โ€” every detail aligned to the outcomes your group is building toward.
Deep facilitation
Masks off. Real conversations.
21 years coaching emotional intelligence in high-performers. The room goes somewhere most groups never reach โ€” through genuine depth, not forced exercises.
Leadership values self-discovery
Know your strengths before you arrive
Members complete a guided leadership profile before the retreat โ€” ideally in a facilitated slot at your last Forum meeting, so day one starts at depth.
Adventure experiences
Alive, not just awake
Jungle hikes, surf lessons, paddling, horseback riding โ€” experiences people actually want, where growth happens as a part of the joy.
Connection & laughter
Fun is the destination
Designed social moments bring laughter around the fire. Members remember they are more than their title โ€” and that's where real trust gets built.
SME network access
The right expert, right on time
A curated network spanning finance, marketing, HR, legal, operations, sales, and capital raising โ€” available for whatever the group wants to dig into.

Whether you need a day or a week, there's a format that fits

Forums typically hold two retreats a year โ€” a multi-day destination experience and a full-day annual gathering. I design and facilitate both.

Destination Retreat

The Multi-Day Forum Experience

3โ€“7 days. A fully co-designed destination retreat combining deep facilitation, adventure, and meaningful social connection. Fully managed end-to-end โ€” destination, logistics, activities, and all facilitated sessions. For groups ready to go somewhere they've never gone before.

Annual Day Retreat

The Full-Day Forum Gathering

Breakfast through dinner. A single-day facilitated retreat for your Forum's annual check-in โ€” structured, purposeful, and energizing. The format most facilitators overlook. A focused, high-value day that keeps momentum alive between destination experiences.

Every group is at a different stage. Every retreat is built for yours.

Here are the kinds of experiences we co-design โ€” each one shaped to where your Forum is right now:

First Retreat
Build safety, establish norms, and set the standard for every session that follows.
Depth & Connection
For established groups ready to move past surface-level into genuinely transformative conversation.
Leadership Development
Explore styles, blind spots, and growth edges in a setting that makes learning stick.
Wellness & Play
Recharge the group, revisit what matters, and renew the energy that makes Forum valuable.
Transitions & Legacy
Business transitions, purpose, and what members want to build and leave behind.
Custom Experience
Built entirely around your group's specific needs and goals. Not a template โ€” fully yours.

For the person whose name just came up on the rotation

You don't need to be an event planner or a facilitator. You just need a group that's ready for something great โ€” and a partner who knows how to deliver it.

โœ“

You're planning a retreat for an EO, YPO, TEC, MacKay, or independent peer Forum โ€” and you want it to be genuinely memorable

โœ“

You want the logistics, destination, and facilitation handled by one trusted person โ€” not stitched together from three different vendors

โœ“

Your group is ready for more than a nice trip โ€” you want depth, laughter, and real conversation in the same experience

โœ“

Whether this is your Forum's first retreat or your twenty-first, you want this one to set a new standard

โœ“

You want a co-created experience โ€” not a packaged product โ€” that reflects your group's unique culture and goals

From first conversation to the moment nobody wants to leave

01

Discovery conversation

We talk about your group โ€” its history, dynamics, what's worked and what hasn't. I learn what your members actually need, not just what the agenda says. No pitch. Just a real conversation.

02

Co-design your experience

I build a retreat proposal shaped around your group's goals, timeline, and budget. We refine it together until every detail feels right and fully yours.

03

Pre-retreat leadership session

Members complete an individual leadership values profile. Ideally facilitated during your last Forum meeting before the retreat โ€” so by arrival, the group already knows each other's strengths, styles, and edges. Day one starts at depth.

04

The retreat itself

3โ€“7 days of facilitated depth, adventure, genuine fun, and real connection โ€” fully designed and managed. You participate as a full member of your group. I hold the container.

05

Integration check-in

A follow-up session 4โ€“6 weeks after the retreat. Not a debrief โ€” a check-in on implementation. What's shifted, what commitments are alive, and what needs support before next year.

The combination that's hard to find

Depth without the corporate script

Two decades of coaching emotional intelligence in high-performers. No buzzwords, no breakout-room exercises that feel like school. Real conversations that actually go somewhere.

Adventure that means something

Experiences designed to create aliveness, not manufactured stress. People who have genuine fun together trust each other faster โ€” and that trust is what Forums are built on.

Fully co-created, fully yours

Every retreat is designed with the person who knows the group best. Not a template, not a packaged program โ€” built around your Forum's specific history, culture, and goals.

One person, end to end

Destination, logistics, facilitation, adventure design, and the social arc โ€” managed by one person who cares about the outcome as much as you do.

In their words

"You are honestly doing something so unique and special. I've gone through leadership 101 and different development programs. This is so different than anything else. I feel you changing my life in a really wonderful way."

Jessica MacKinnon

Ontario Public Service, Canada

"I thought I was doing all the right things. By learning to be more aware and connected to what's most important to me, all of my conversations have changed. I feel lighter knowing this way."

Michael G.

Government Executive, Ottawa

"I thought this was about feedback, difficult people, delegation, conflict resolution. Now I know what to do to be great at all that โ€” and we didn't talk about any of it!"

Tommy L.

Legal Partner, Ottawa

"I'm introverted and quite private. I was concerned about being vulnerable. Thank you for creating such a safe and fun environment to share and learn."

Joan B.

Business Owner, Kanata

Trevor Stevenson

I've spent over two decades helping high-performance leaders drop the armour and do the relational work that determines whether a team โ€” or a Forum โ€” actually functions. Much of this adventure-based. Before coaching, I spent 10 years guiding expeditions internationally, building the instinct to read a group, play the edge, and create the conditions where people have the time of their lives and surpass what they believed was possible. I bring all of it to every retreat I design โ€” and I co-create every one with the people who know their group best.
